Soft Play Bristol
When the weather takes a turn for the worse in Bristol, parents know the struggle is real! Thankfully, soft play becomes a lifesaver. Love them or hate them, they keep our little ones entertained for hours (and it definitely wears them out!). Luckily, Bristol is bursting with fantastic soft play options to choose from across the city and even in neighbouring towns, I have rounded up the best ones I have personally visited in this list.
All of the soft play below cater to children from 0 years, and some go right up to 12 years old, so there really is something for every little one, and they also all have a cafe!
This post will be regularly updated as a lot of the soft play Bristol lists are outdated showing even closed soft plays, Not ours! but If you think we missed any soft plays please let me know in the comments below and ill take my daughter there asap to see if they are worth making this list!
1. Freedog Bristol
This is my local soft play, and one my daughter absolutely adores and in my opinion its the best inside Bristol, Just across from Temple Meads train station, behind Fowlers, you’ll find Freedog, which has something for kids of all ages (even adults!) – from rock climbing to trampolines. But most importantly, a three-storey soft play, including 2 slides for over 2-year-olds, and a puppy pen for those under 1 year old.
Adults may go on the soft play to supervise, and there is a great cafe serving really nice coffee and refreshments. It’s worth mentioning they have heaters above the seating area for the colder days, which is very welcome. There is also a 50-space car park which is free (register your car registration when signing in at reception).
2. Cowtastic at Farringtons
Just a short drive outside Bristol to the lovely Farrington Gurney you will find Farringtons Farm which is geared up ready to greet you and you’re children with a Play barn soft play, farm park, cafe, fish and chip shop, farm Shop and different events through out the year giving you and you’re little ones plenty to do!
There is a baby area for the under 2s to play and explore but unfortunately during my visit here it was overrun by older children and the staff or parents didn’t seem to care and smaller children couldn’t play
For the over 2s they enjoy a large 2 level softplay with slides, ropes and ball pits , For the adults you can enjoy lunch and light snacks in the play barn cafe that are sourced locally.
The playbarn is powered by Solar power and there is a meter board showing how much energy has been saved – pretty cool!
3. Imagination Fascination
Instead of just bouncing around, take your little ones on an imaginative adventure at Imagination Fascination in Weston-super-Mare, Yes I know that’s not in Bristol! but bare with me its not that far and we are extremely lucky to have something so unique in the area! This unique play centre focuses on sparking creativity through roleplay. They’ll have a blast exploring themed areas like a supermarket, complete with trolleys and shopping baskets, or a fire station with firefighter costumes there is an entire high street!
To avoid disappointment you will need to book early online, there are limited spaces and because of that everyone seems to get a table and it allows them to clean and tidy the play center between every session, I was extremely impressed on how this place is run! and my daughter loved it we will be coming back here many more times.
Imagination Fascination doesn’t forget the classics though – there’s still a soft play area with slides and a ball pit to keep energetic bodies happy. Plus, a galactic space nerf zone for the older kids lets imaginations take flight with epic foam dart battles!
4. Keynsham Leisure Centre
After the multi million pound refurbishment of Keynsham leisure centre they opened a lovely bright, clean and inviting multi level soft play with slides, tunnels, mini trampolines, a ball pit for children up to 6 years old.
For the smaller ones there is also a separate under 3s area with range of sensory equipment suitable for baby’s from 3 months old.
There is also a great cafe here and the leisure centre has swimming pools should you want to have even more fun!
5. Jungle Mania
On the ground floor of the galleries shopping center, there is the only soft play in bristol city centre that has a two story soft play waiting for your little ones with LED spiders web, ninja course, ball pit, large slides and separate baby and toddler area with a musical roundabout.
The perfect location for after a day out shopping if they have behaved themselves! There is a cafe that overlooks the soft play for the parents to enjoy themselves while the children run wild!
6. Noah’s Ark Play Centre
On the busy Bath Road in Brislington you can find Noahs Ark play centre which has multiple levels of softplay for your little ones to climb, run and slide around in.
This is one of Bristol’s older soft plays and you can see that when you arrive but that doesn’t put the little ones off as they still find it extremely fun especially the long slide, There is also a separate area for the toddlers to enjoy.
7. Cattle Country Cow Shed
Head just outside North Bristol to Berkeley you will find a brand new state of the art soft play at cattle country farm park that opened in September 2023.
In a brand new building a three story high cow print themed soft play awaits you’re children with slides, obstacles, light up ball pits and technology where children can compete with each other in the cattle run.
There are two areas for the under fives with a tiny town roleplay area and a toddler soft play to explore and build up confidence
8. Skyboat Cafe
Skyboat Cafe is a lovely cosy little welcoming cafe in Redland for you and your little ones that gives you a warm feeling as you approach it and once inside you just feel at ease and can enjoy quality time with your children.
Its a modern cafe where there baristas serve amazing coffees and there is an excellent selection of cakes and light snacks
The soft play here is small as you would expect in a play cafe but it will keep them busy for a good hour and its a nice break from the madness of the usual style of soft play, I recommend coming here here with friends and there children, It is also the place to be for babys with there mood lighting.
9. Jump
Jump Bristol is the largest indoor soft play centre in the South West, offering an exciting escape for children aged 0-12. Here, they can climb and explore massive playframes, whiz down slides, and bounce in enormous inflatables. There’s even a dedicated toddler area for safe and secure play, and an indoor football pitch for budding Ronaldos.
Based inside an industrial park behind the mall and ASDA in cribs causeway, Jump is very easy to find with plenty of room for parking onsite, There is also an onsite cafe and you get 2 hours of play.
To be honest, this soft play wasn’t as good as others I’ve been to. It felt a bit tired and run down. There was a real scramble for tables – I saw several parents just standing around waiting for one. This seems to be because they allow sessions to overlap. Unlike other soft plays, I didn’t see anyone clearing the floors or wiping down equipment. With how busy it was, my daughter wasn’t having much fun, so we decided to leave early.
10. Boing!
Boing! Softplay in Lockleaze is a community-run, not-for-profit centre that provides a safe and welcoming space for kids aged 0-5 to explore their imaginations. There’s a vibrant soft play area filled with climbing frames, slides, and stimulating features that encourage creativity and adventurous play.
While little ones have a blast, parents and carers can connect with others, enjoy some downtime with a coffee from the on-site cafe, or simply watch their children explore in a supportive environment.
Wild Things Play Project at Cribbs Causeway!
Thank you for the suggestion Eleanor, I will pay it a visit and get it added.
